The HVACR Technology Program at NETTTS 

The HVAC field has a wide range of applications, from commercial to residential, new construction to long-term maintenance. With both day, evening, and weekend classes offered at our Massachusetts and Rhode Island campuses, our HVACR Technology students can get practical experience working on:

What You Will Learn

The HVACR Technology program at NETTTS unites classroom instruction with practical training on both real equipment and in online 3-D simulation labs. We help you build foundational skills in installing, adjusting, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing heating and air conditioning systems, including topics like: 


  • Fundamentals of refrigeration 
  • Principles of electricity 
  • Residential and commercial refrigeration  
  • Humidifying and air cleaning 
  • Residential heat pumps 
  • Heat-load calculations 
  • Duct sizing and pipe fitting 
  • Oil and gas heating

Students in our program receive a personal set of HVACR tools and equipment and the opportunity to prep and sit for their EPA Universal license, as well as earning hours toward their refrigeration license, natural gas license, propane license, and pipefitter license.

Yes! NETTTS has two locations where you can get HVACR training, in North Andover, Massachusetts, and Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

If you enjoy working with your hands and solving problems, look into the HVACR Technician Training at NETTTS to work on developing HVACR technical skills.

HVACR involves standing, bending, crouching, and overall moving around while repairing or installing equipment.

Military veterans often acquire a lot of unique skills and talents during their time in the military, which means HVACR technician may be a good option for many military veterans.

In addition to classroom and hands-on training in our HVACR lab, students receive access to at-home 3D HVAC simulation training for additional learning.
